Priceline Pharmacy x VAMFF 2018

Once again, I was lucky enough to attend the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF) with my friends from Priceline Pharmacy.  What a fabulous night of fashion, food and beauty!  This time I was accompanied by my personal photographer/videographer, bag holder, champagne seeker, food collector and husband!  Luckily Kai (husband) enjoys all things fashion but he was in luck this time as we were there to see not only the National Graduate Showcase but also the GQ show – so some killer fashion for the boys as well!

Make sure you check out my video below for a behind the scenes walk through and runway coverage.

My visit was kick-started by the Priceline beauty pro’s, with my hair and make-up getting the full treatment – curls and fake lashes are a girls best friend.

Wearing Moss & Spy dress, Sass and Bide belt and ring and Therapy shoes.

TREND ALERT!!

Makeup: Now is your time to shine – break out the glitter girls!  Key runway beauty looks featured were: graphic coloured eyes, glowing skin and beautiful glittery embellishments.  Yassss!  Tip: When creating the graphic eye – start with a creme shadow and then layer powder shadow (in the same colour) over the look to set.

Hair: Ladies rejoice, the latest hair trends are not only super chic but also very achievable to recreate at home. The Wet Look is here in a big way, and my new personal favourite – the Bound Pony!  Tip: Buy milliners elastic by the meter and use to secure the pony and also bind the pony.  Easy!

If I said I was blown away by the level of talent in the National Graduate Showcase, that would be a true understatement!  The up and coming skill and natural aptitude in our country is astronomical and I can say with confidence, the future of fashion in Australia has never looked brighter.

Take away points:  Go big or go home!  Also, sequins and shiny embellishments are never a bad idea.

The GQ show brought a plethora of styles to suit a vast array of mens styles.  From sports luxe with PE Nation through to key basics courtesy of bassike and finally to one of my personal favourite edgy-designers, Strateas Carlucci.

Take away:  Men can, and should, wear anything that takes their fancy.  From perfectly tailored suits to a 3/4 sleeves and/or pants, to perfectly loose-fitting jackets in flamboyant colours. Oh and logo tees are here for another season guys!

A huge thank you to my friends at Priceline Pharmacy PR (@pricelinepharmacypr) for hosting us for a fabulous evening.
