Woo-hoo!!! I am officially a Sydney resident!!! Dear Sydney, with your high rents and freezing cold weather, you’d better deliver!! …I’m sure you will!
I was rather excited to be asked to take part in the Wish ‘Winter in The City’ W14 Style Challenge… especially since I am mid move to Sydney city!! Shooting this challenge was a nice break from all the house hunting and living out of a suit case. But please NSW – what the hell is with the freezing weather?? My poor Sunshine Coast thermostat has definitely copped a beating!! Whenever I exclaim “damn it’s cold” to a local I get met with a chuckle…”this is nothing, Luv!’ Ironically, these pics were shot at home on the Sunshine Coast on a quick trip back to collect my fav girl (Rosie the Staffordshire Terrier). Big thanks to my good friend (and photography teacher) Hing Ang for the photos.
Anyway back to my cool orange Restraint Shirt Dress by Wish. From my previous posts, it’s probably pretty obvious that I like to dress up. I am not usually quite this girly but winter makes me miss all things feminine. Especially strong colours, long sleeve dresses and knee high boots. As I have discovered, this dress can be worn many ways: belted (comes with belt); half open (as I have done below); or as a jacket for layering. Here I’ve teamed my Wish dress with my favourite vintage knee high suede boots, American Apparel thigh high socks and some arm candy from Lovisa.
Special thanks to Sarah-Rose Sellars for my make up and amazing mermaid braid.
