Wine tasting in the Hunter Valley is a wonderful way to experience this local delight.  Situated just a short 45 minute chopper ride from Sydney, this is one destination you can definitely make a day trip of.  Full disclosure, this is the first time I’ve been in a helicopter – although I feel like I dropped that in the sentence there with ease and believability, right?!  Ha, ha.  My usual form of transport (driving), takes around 2 hours. There are also a number of bus tours you can take to the Hunter Valley.

Last week I was treated to a visit to Hunter’s Dream Estate thanks to my good friends at Nature’s Care.  For those fellow wine connoisseurs, the name Hunter’s Dream is already establishing itself firmly in the field of Chardonnay.  With 77 hectares of reinvigorated 40 year old vines and a passion for health and well being, it’s no surprise they are producing Gold Medal winning wines wines! *Director’s Reserve Sparkling Brut Pinot Noir Chardonnay 2014 already winning a Gold Medal at the 2016 Hunter Valley Boutique Wine Show.

Created by the Australian vitamin and skincare manufacture, Nature’s Care, their philosophy of natural health and vitality is personified through this beautiful estate.  The moment we stepped off the chopper (see I did it again, so natural now), we were mesmerised by the tranquil scenery and natural beauty of Hunter’s Dream Estate!  The site offers more delights than simply wine, boasting lavender fields, an orchard, beehives and a stunning Japanese garden.  Their motto says it all really, ‘Dreams are meant to be shared.’
