Colour Coding

One of the biggest considerations for me when creating a blog post is the quality of photography.  This does mean relying on other people to snap the photo (which can be a little tricky) but if you have the idea planned out, then the execution can be quick and easy.  I’m extremely excited to share with you a new lighting addition we have discovered that can literally transform your blog post, photography and home!!

My background is a fair bit of fashion, styling and photography so I’m constantly looking for something new and different to create great content.   And now, we are lucky enough to have a studio in the apartment – super excited about this!!

My husband’s been looking at the iDual colour changing lights for a while (he’s a bit of a tech toy geek)  and he finally sold it to me as a photography addition!  Which, don’t get me wrong, is an amazing use for them!  But he really just wants them to play with around the house – we’ve had the blue ocean setting on in the bedroom, the white light in the kitchen, the yoga light on in the lounge and the one that excites him the most, the rolling colours!  Ha, ha.  Sadly, I’m not joking.

I am so excited by the results of my first morning playing with the iDual lights in the studio.  The effects you can create are endless!  We installed the LED bulb in one of our light stands and used Lilac lamp on the other side – and literally thats it!  Super easy!  The results below took about 15mins to create.

The iDual range is available from Bunnings. The globes are available HERE and the lilac lamp is available HERE.
